next.The Space Science and Instrumentation (SS&I) Directorate
at Lockheed Martin Space Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is
seeking an experienced senior electronics engineer with experience
in electrical/electronics design for space systems to support the
Multi-slit Solar Explorer (MUSE) program and other science based
flight instruments as well as contribute to technology research and
development efforts.In this role, you will research, develop,
design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and
networks. You will design electrical equipment, facilities,
components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and
domestic purposes to support the ATC, and provide technical support
of major program reviews. Additionally, you will contribute
technically during internal and external meetings with the SS&I
team and the customer.You will have the opportunity to be a part of
a high-performing team with responsibilities that include:
- Overseeing development of the electronics design of integrated
systems and components consistent with company process and
functional constraints
- Troubleshoot, solve, and refine final designs to optimize
designs for target dimensions, physical tolerances, or processing
constraints
- Oversee testing across product development life cycle and
program testing milestones
- Assisting with managing large projects, including project
planning, staffing, and delivery.This position is located at a
facility that requires special access. U.S. Citizenship is
required.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or
similar engineering degree)
- Knowledge of a broad range of electrical engineering such as
circuit theory, electromagnetics, PCB schematic and layout design,
and/or signal processing
- Experience in PCB schematic/layout software such as Zuken,
Cadence, etc.
- Experience in printed circuit and board-level design, and/or
system level assembly, and testing
- Experience in technical oversight of board- and/or box-level
electronics development from design through fabrication and
test
- US CitizenshipDesired Skills:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field
- Experience designing electronics solutions for aerospace and
defense applications.
- Experience managing large projects, including project planning,
staffing, and delivery.
- Experience in developing and delivering flight systems for
NASA
- Detailed knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and design
rules
- Specialized understanding of schematic and layout for low-noise
board design
- Prior experience with lab and/or clean room protocols
- Provided multidisciplinary support including electrical design,
schematic entry, PCB layout, fabrication/assembly drawing drafting,
integration, and testing.
- Motion control applications experience (Digital Control loops,
telemetry collection & conditioning)
- SpaceWire experience (basic & RMAP protocols, nodes, routers,
network architectures, COTS-tools)
- Experience engaging with customers and stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communication skillsClearance Level:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be
performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work
Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work
schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week
while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide
employees with additional time away from the office and are in
addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position:
9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range
for this position in California and New York (excluding most major
metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For
states not referenced above, the salary range for this position
will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that
the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin
considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and
responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience,
education/ training, key skills as well as market and business
considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered: Medical,

to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for
holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated
