Staff Accountant Position

Job Responsibilities - General

-Assist in the accounting and processing of payables for particular sub-contractor invoices

-Track lien waivers, retention payments, vendor/sub inquiries

-Assist and work with Project Managers in the billing process through Timberline billing module

-Assist with determining gross margins, client billing requirements, and other job cost processes

-Assist with payroll process through Timberline payroll module

-Assist with job cost process through Timberline job module

-Assist is collections and recording cash

-Assist with month end closing

-Assist with development and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures

-Prepare reports for union filings

-Other duties as assigned

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent

-2-5 year?s recent accounting experience

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-Strong problem-solving skills

-Extremely organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

-Strong computer skills-particularly Excel

-Construction industry experience preferred

-Experience with Timberline accounting software a plus

-Communicate professionally with everyone, both internal and external

-Able to work calmly under pressure

-Resourceful; able to track down answers
