--- Travel/Schedule: opportunities exist on 2nd and 3rd shift
(Mon-Friday)
--- Compensation: Target base rate -$31/hr (Level I) - $39/hr
(Level III) + $0.75/hr shift premium

Position Description: As a Maintenance Technician you will be
responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs and
installation of machines, tools, and equipment. This role is also
responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds,
and utility systems of the entire manufacturing operation including
shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions. Some other specific
responsibilities include:
--- Level III
o Perform rigging of light equipment and moderate to heavy
material/equipment, knowledge of heavy rigging procedures,
knowledge of rigging safety procedures.
o Assist in machine installation and planning, read and interpret
layout diagrams, prints, assist in planning, layout and site
preparation. Shim, anchor, grout, plumb, level, position.
o Rebuild and overhaul equipment with direction.
o Set up, select tooling and use all machine shop equipment safely
to make complex shafts, collars, bushings, sleeve bores and misc.
parts. Use milling machine to countersink, vertical bore, surface
and manufacture parts. Use hydraulic press without supervision and
perform complex straightening operations.
o Perform welding on castings and dissimilar and nonferrous
materials.
o Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems without direction.
o Perform all bearing changes without direction and troubleshoot
specialty bearings.
o Troubleshoot circuits with programmable controllers.
o Demonstrate working knowledge the requirements of NEC code and
NFPA code, and use both as a reference to properly wire and install
equipment.
--- Level II
o Rebuild simple equipment such as gearboxes and pumps with
direction.
o Fabricate machine guards and minor machine components from prints
and drawings.
o Use a lathe, milling machine, hydraulic press, gear and bearing
puller and keyway broach to perform basic machine shop tasks.
o Troubleshoot, install and or repair components, overhaul
cylinders and solenoid control valves, make-up air lines on
pneumatic systems.
o Check and replace non-critical bearings without supervision,
critical bearings with supervision.
o Troubleshoot and change out (1:1) power transmission components
(i.e. gears, belts, chains, sprockets, sheaves).
o Use electrical schematics to perform troubleshooting.
o Perform basic A/C motor troubleshooting without direction.
o Troubleshoot basic control circuits.
--- Level I
o Read basic layout diagrams, common symbols, legend and interpret
title information.
o Utilize basic machine shop tools (drill press, band saw, grinder,
arbor, hand tools).
o Perform basic preventative maintenance such as lubricating
machinery, visual inspections, hydraulic PMs, change/add oil,
change filters, pneumatic PMs, check for leaks).
o Perform basic cutting/welding.
o Recognition of hazardous materials.
o Understanding of zero energy state for various forms of energy
and ability to follow lockout procedures.
o Use of basic diagnostic tools such as voltmeter.
o Understanding of ARC flash.
o Ability to read wiring diagrams and recognize common electrical
symbols.
o Ability to discriminate between electrical and mechanical
problems, identifying type of problem.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have a working
knowledge of maintenance as it pertains to industrial
equipment/manufacturing equipment (pumps, compressors, electrical,
hydraulics, motors, controls, etc).
