Division of Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics
HS Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, and In Residence Faculty
Series
The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at the
University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff
Children's Hospitals are recruiting faculty positions at the
Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks of the
Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, or In Residence
faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.
Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and
established fellowship training program. This position may have
clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland
campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission
of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess a medical degree and license,
board eligibility or certification in pediatrics, and board
eligibility or certification in pediatric nephrology. Successful
candidates will have a demonstrated expertise in practice and
teaching of clinical pediatric nephrology. Preferred candidates
will show interest in a career in academic medicine.
The Division of Pediatric Nephrology offers a comprehensive range
of pediatric nephrology services and is fully integrated into a
combined pediatric and adult kidney transplant program. We have
dedicated clinics for kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis,
hypertension, and chronic kidney disease, along with an
ACGME-accredited fellowship program. Successful candidates will
have the opportunity to work in pediatric nephrology subspecialty
clinics and on the hospital wards. Additionally, candidates will be
involved in precepting, supervising, and teaching medical students,
interns, residents, and fellows.

For positions that are 51% effort or more:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank
and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range
for this position is $104,800-$320,100. This position includes
membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides
for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable
estimate for this position is $74,800-$228,600.
