Responsibilities
The Family Therapist is the primary
contact for families assigned on their caseload. This position
facilitates individual, family, group therapy, and new Family
Orientations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate, proactively, and serve as point of contact with
families.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies within the
framework of the Newport Healthcare's clinical model and
Attachment-Based Family Therapy model.
- Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and
Family Support Groups.
- Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress,
group notes, contact notes and discharge summaries) timely and
according to established standards.
- Enter and save data accurately within Word, Outlook (email and
calendaring), EMR, and online learning.
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and
clinical supervision.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences representing
Newport Healthcare as needed.
- Manage schedule, independently, to effectively and efficiently
accomplish goals and tasks. Qualifications
- Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, related
field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or
state approved graduate school required.
- Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT) or Psychologic
Associate in the state in which services are provided required.
Licensed Preferred.
- Experience with individual, group, or family therapy with
adolescents/young adults required.
- Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating
disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
- Willingness to be trained to provide family therapy within the
framework of Attachment-Based Family Therapy. The salary range for
this position is $80,325 - $121,492 per year based on education and
