Tesla is looking for an innovative electrical engineer to join our Factory Design team in Fremont, CA. The electrical design team is responsible for designing state-of-the-art power distribution systems to support the main factory infrastructure as well as manufacturing tool equipment. This position is for a full-time, on-site role.What You'll Do

• Lead front-end electrical design for the following electrical deliverables: Single line diagram, panel schedule, grounding drawing, underground conduit drawing, power plan, lighting layout, and area classification drawing.
• Prepare electrical deliverables with respect to code compliance and ensure every design maintains the highest level of quality.
• Develop and improve project workflows and standards to ensure each design is consistently excellent.
• Participate in on-field construction and commissioning activities by serving as the point of contact for technical questions and real-time issue resolution.
• Interface with external EPC firms during bid and project execution phases as needed to ensure that design and specifications meet our Engineering Standards.
• Support site operations as an electrical system owner - ensure infrastructure reliability and design/coordinate changes as needed.What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2+ years work experience in the heavy commercial and industrial sector (manufacturing, datacenter, hospital, campus, etc).
