PACCC also provides ongoing professional development and trainings for staff to enhance their skill set, approaches and the curriculum within our programs.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced After-School Lead Teacher to join our team at Besse Bolton Kid's Club in Palo Alto. As the After-School Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our after-school program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our students. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to develop and implement lesson plans, manage student behavior, and communicate with parents and guardians. You will lead implementation of curriculum for the teaching team. Your leadership and guidance will be essential in creating a positive and enriching experience for our students.Minimum Qualifications:12 ECE units including core units (Child Development: Curriculum; Child, Family & Community) Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in an educational settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage and supervise student behaviorKnowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methodsAbility to obtain Child Development Master Teacher Permit within one year of hirePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education or related fieldExperience working in an after-school program or similar settingBilingual Experience working with diverse student populationsExperience with play-based learningResponsibilities:Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans for after-school programSupervise and manage student behavior to ensure a safe and positive learning environmentCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviorCollaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure program goals and objectives are metMaintain accurate records and documentation of student attendance and progressSkills:Under general direction, as the After-School Lead Teacher, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with parents and guardians, collaborate with other teachers and staff, and manage student behavior. Your knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods will be essential in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans. You are responsible for leading on-floor programming for children and assures on-going, age-appropriate activities and development of children and implementation by all staff. Additionally, your ability to maintain accurate records and documentation of student attendance and progress will ensure program goals and objectives are met. Your experience working with children in an educational setting will allow you to effectively supervise and manage student behavior, creating a safe and positive learning environment for our students.
