together.Role description:Arcadis seeks a Project Procurement
Manager to function as a key member of the Arcadis North America
Procurement team to lead procurement within the Resilience Business
Area. The Procurement Manager must have project procurement
experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure,
environmental, or similar space. The Procurement Manager will be
responsible for negotiation of large and complex contracts and
developing and implementing sound procurement practices. The
Procurement Manager has a thorough knowledge and understanding of
procurement concepts, principles, and practices to be applied in
the engineering and construction industry. This individual will be
responsible for leading and managing key Project relationships
across the Resilience Business Area; this is an individual
contributor role reporting directly to the Direct Procurement
Director - North America with reporting lines to Resilience
leadership.Role accountabilities:
- Manage and execute 3rd party Subconsultant/Subcontractor
agreements for projects, including bid strategy formulation, market
research, creating and managing the RFP process, recommendation of
vendor selection, and final contract negotiations within the
project budget and schedule.
- Understand and be current on changing market conditions
regarding availability and cost of procurement resources as well as
movement and trends in the pricing of materials, equipment, and
services.
- Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, project
managers, and internal functional groups regarding company and
procurement issues.
- Manage and continually improve the 3rd Party
Subconsultant/Subcontractor engagement process to align with
business blueprint working with the Procurement Operations and
Audit Manager.
- Implement active supplier performance management reviews.
- Identify principal risks and opportunities and support the
project teams to mitigate them.
- Ensure suppliers demonstrate capability to consistently supply
goods & services to required quality and delivery performance
standards.
- Minimize total cost through exploiting and contributing to
Arcadis group leverage and market awareness, negotiating supplier
prices, contract terms, and improvement programs as
appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to and support procurement policies,
procedures, and systems to implement a uniform method of work
approaches that delivers exceptional performance values for Arcadis
and its clients.Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of Procurement experience in an engineering,
construction, infrastructure, consulting services, or similar
industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction
management, or similar field.
- Strong Project Procurement experience.
- Possesses a strong client focus, as demonstrated by a flexible
and enthusiastic approach to work assignments and new learning
opportunities.
- Ability to clearly articulate point of view orally and in
writing; ability to quickly grasp business objectives and
strategies and how service offerings support the attainment of
those objectives.
- Experience leading and implementing complex business change
solutions.
- Experience managing internal business relationships at a senior
level.
- High level of understanding of contracts,
specification/statement of work creation, and supplier performance
management.
- This role is based in the Northern California Bay Area.Why

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000.Actual
salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as
experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and
location.
